Hello there mori gentlemen and gentleladies. I'm an artist and I'm going to be getting some items featuring mori-girl illustrations printed to sell at Japan Expo in Paris this year and online. I was hoping maybe you'd all help me out with a little 'market research'! XD
Are mori-girl themed products something you'd consider buying?

Hi all!
I'm looking to recruit a model to represent 'Mori-girl' at the next Hyper Japan 2012.
http://hyperjapan.co.uk/

The fashion show will showcase different types of 'Japanese Street Fashion', with one or in some cases a pair of models to represent the style. So I'm looking for someone confident and doesn't mind being interviewed for a 2 minutes about their respective style after the catwalk. I already have Shantel (A UK Mori girl who was on 'Hotter than your Daughter')  to do the Sunday catwalk and I will be needing one more. So if you're interested please fill in this form and send me 1 or 2 pictures of your coordinate and a head shot.

*MODELS WILL GET FREE LUNCH/BENTO BOX AND FREE ENTRY as 'PERFORMER'!

Form:
1. Name:
2. How long have you been in the fashion:
**You must be available for the Saturday Hyper Japan 25 Feb 2012 from early morning (the show will not be the first thing in the morning though!).

Thank you! Please e-mail it to: lapetitemarionette@gmail.com

xx

Back in September and early October I had a few photoshoots and "photo-trips" in general. So there are some pictures of me and some nature/set pictures here.
I only now realised I never posted them on livejournal, so this post is a bit late.

I have to thank my friend Linda for taking the pictures of me! The rest are taken by me.
My flickr account.
If you wish to repost any of these pictures, please ask/credit me, I would greatly appreciate it!
Hope you liked them and thank you for looking! I'd love to hear what you think. ♥

Is it ok if we have a thread to share some music or music videos that give us a mori girl vibe?

Music Under the CutCollapse )

It's difficult to have mori girl clothes on the beach because a lot of the style comes down to layering - I think that outfits can be made 'mori style' by choosing the colours carefully and adding some little extras to the clothes.

Onto beach accessories when out of the water!

It's hot and you don't want to put lots of layers over your damp swimsuit - how about a simple dress in a maxi style or a playsuit?

Flowy dressCollapse )

This feels a bit more natural kei with the gingham but I love it!

ShoesCollapse )

And of course a lovely hat and some flowers for the hair would complete the look!

By no means am I trying to create some RULES because I hate the idea of fashion rules - if anyone has any suggestions let me know but most of all be yourself and choose for the best style that suits you!

A lovely and very Mori-ish poem by Wendell Berry.

The Peace of Wild Things

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

WEEKLY THEME POST MASTERLIST

What is weekly theme post?

Weekly theme post is a fun idea to get the members of this community to get together and share photos of mori girl items! Basing on the MoriGirl checklist, every week a theme is chosen and members can show us their items, inspiration photos, or links relating to the theme! It's a great way to get to know the members of this comm, and just to learn more about this fashion!

When is it?

Every Sunday. A new post will be posted by me, or the designated poster in which everyone can post their images in their reply.

To post an image in the comments: <img src="http://www.url.com">

What can I post?

Anything relating to the theme that week, be it a photo, taken by you or not, a link, or just commenting on other people's items!
